Thank You for Smoking (Jason Reitman, 2005) 1/5
The only thing that I sort of appreciated about this film is that right from his first film, Jason Reitman has already established who he is as a filmmaker: his cinematic style, what sort of stories and characters attract him. I mean unlikeable characters is his shit. He’s the freaking Nick Naylor of cinema. But besides that, this film just annoys me. What I’ve realized with Jason Reitman’s oeuvre is that I love the ones which were written by Diablo Cody (Juno, Young Adult) and dislike the ones that he wrote himself which is this and Up in the Air.
